For the first time the World Choir Games were held on the American continent. The event exceeded expectations for attendance, cultural impact and awareness-building. Cincinnati residents were highly engaged in the Games with volunteers. The Parade of Nations at the Fountain Square with people was one of the events' highlights.
Approximately 15 active participants from 64 countries were involved in these Games. There was an estimated 7 minutes of performances – the equivalent of more than five days of uninterrupted singing – in concerts and competitions. A total of Gold, Silver and 19 Bronze Medals were awarded by the international jury. The Medal tally of the 7th World Choir Games is led by the United States with 76 Medals (23 Gold, 46 Silver, 7 Bronze), followed by China and Hong Kong / SAR with 53 (30 Gold, 18 Silver, 5 Bronze) and Indonesia with 17 (8 Gold, 9 Silver) and Russia (3 Gold, 7 Silver, 1 Bronze) and South Africa (10 Gold, 1 Silver). Germany won 2 Silver and 1 Bronze Medal.
